29

Miles turned 29 on the 17th! I always like the time after his birthday and before mine, because we are only a year apart in age. Although, with him being 29 and my 31st birthday fast approaching, it does make me feel a little old. But for now, Miles gets to enjoy his twenties for one last year.

Miles is so apathetic when it comes to holidays or celebrations, so he wasn't much help in letting me know what he wanted to do. On his actual birthday, I gave him his present in the morning. Of course he had to guess what it was, taking all my fun away. I got him a Blue Ray player. I was so excited because I felt like I actually came up with a good birthday gift...not just the lame ones I like to buy for him (clothes) or things he needs (socks, shoes, etc). This time I was able to get him what he loves...electronics! And not only that, but it was something that was affordable, unlike all the electronics he typically wants (an iPad, a big screen TV, a new computer, Bose headphones, etc). Anyway, even though he guessed what it was, I think he still liked it...at least I hope so. :) Miles took the day off work to stay at home and relax. It was fun spending some time together and also letting him have the day to do what he wanted. Later that night we got together with the Hornes and went out to PF Changs for dinner. It was delicious and great fun to catch up with our friends.

The next day we did his "formal" celebrations. We invited some friends over for a BBQ. We had hamburgers, chips, watermelon, and soda. For desert we had a chocolate chip bundt cake with chocolate ganache. It's Miles's favorite and absolutely delicious! We didn't take many photos, but here's what we've got.

Yeah, we're lame. We really failed on taking pictures. Those in attendance were: Marci Wright, Jeremy and Amanda Madsen, and Braden, Haley and Sophia Molyneux. Thanks, friends, for helping us to celebrate Miles's birthday!
