9 months

Our little dude is nine months old! He has officially been outside of my womb for as long as he was inside. Here are the stats from his 9 month check-up: Weight: 18 lbs. 8 oz. (20th percentile) Head: 45 cm. (45th percentile) Length: 28 3/4 in. (70th percentile)

Here are some of his recent accomplishments and things he loves to do... Owen has been sleeping like a champ for the last couple months and will generally sleep from about 7 or 7:30 at night to sometime between 5:30 and 8:30 in the morning. A lot of times if he wakes up on the earlier side, he will eat and then go back to sleep for another couple hours.

With a little practice, Owen quickly picked up on how to feed himself. He does a great job at feeding himself puffs and cheerios and will even distinguish between the two and pick out the puffs first. This is him trying out some asparagus:

He is working really hard on crawling. He can push himself backwards, and scoot around using his tummy as a pivot point. Although he's not full on crawling from one room to the next, I'm always surprised at how well he can move across a few feet of space.

He loves playing with a little puzzle board he got from his Auntie Kerry and does a really good job at grabbing the little red nobs and picking up the different pieces using his pincer grasp.

He also enjoys dumping all his books around him and playing with them.He likes to blow air out of his mouth. He even does it with his pacifier in and will just blow air around it. He loves bath time. He loves to splash and play with his toys. He just hates getting dressed after his bath.

Sometimes Owen will copy what we say or do. For example: He will repeat us if we say "ma, ma, ma." Daddy is sad, however, that he hasn't learned to copy him when he says, "da, da, da." He also copies us if we stick our tongue out and make a noise...he likes to stick his tongue out a lot.

We sure do love our sweet, baby boy!
